Marlon Clinton Brewer, 80, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was born February 28, 1937 in Wilson County to the late Martin Crowell Brewer and Bertha Lutoria Brantley Brewer. Marlon retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant and from the NC Department of Transportation.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at their home in the Bunn Lake Community.

Funeral service 11:00am, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 300 Jones St, Zebulon, NC 27597.  Entombment Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Military Honors.

Surviving: wife, Betty Hunt Brewer of Zebulon; daughter, Sherrie Dee Brewer of Knightdale; sister, Nellie Faye Morgan of Zebulon; nephew, Don Morgan; niece, Angie Brantley (Larry) and their daughter, Jadeyn; step-daughters: Monica Lockert (John) of Middlesex, Trellace Gaines (Roy) of Raleigh, Charla Allen (Mark) of Rocky Point; step-grandchildren: Leanne Boney, Morgan Wooten (Ryan), Amanda Gaines, Bradley Allen.

In addition to his parents, Marlon was preceded in death by his first wife, Cora Marcaleen Cates Brewer and son, LaVerne “Lee” Marlon Brewer.
