Louis Weldon May

Louis Weldon May, 87, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was born September 1, 1930 in Wake County to the late Elmo Louis May and Katherine Bunn May.  Louis worked as the service manager for Stone Heavy Vehicle Specialist for over 43 years. He served his Country in the US Army where he was wounded in Korea.  During his tour of duty, he was stationed in several places, with Alaska being his favorite.  He always wanted to go back to Alaska and visit. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 17, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends following the service at the funeral home.

Surviving: daughter, Suzann May; grandson, Christopher Louis Johnson, both of Wendell. He is also survived by a large extended family and loved them all dearly along with his faithful four legged companion “Jack”.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ann W. May in 2006; 2 brothers, Lloyd Owen “Skeeter” May, and Rupert May; 2 sisters, Betty May Myers, and Jean May Chambers.
