Lonnie Thomas "Spit" Watkins, Jr.

Lonnie Thomas “Spit” Watkins, Jr., 60, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Wake Med. He was born February 9, 1958 in Wake County to Shirley Richardson Watkins and the late Lonnie Thomas “Bob” Watkins, Sr.. Lonnie was a well driller with Watkins Well.  

A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.     

The family will receive relatives and friends following the service until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Surviving: wife, Vicky Spaulding Watkins; mother, Shirley Richardson Watkins of Knightdale; son, Brian Watkins (Regina) of Zebulon; daughter, Ashley Watkins (Roderick) of Zebulon; grandchildren: Justice, Andrea and Aviana Watkins; brother, Johnathan Richardson of GA; sisters: Monique Fleming, Pamela Watson both of Knightdale, Regina Bell of Wake Forest.

In addition to his father, Lonnie was preceded in death by brothers: Kim & Keith Watkins; sister, Brenda Watkins.
