Kenneth Ray Tripp, Sr. 79, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2017 surrounded by family and close friends.  Kenneth was born May 29, 1938 in Greene County, NC to the late Bud Ashley Tripp and Evelyn Tyson Tripp-Wade.  While serving his country in the US Air Force, he met the love of his life, Berith Haglund.  They married two years later in Sweden.  Upon returning to the US, they established roots in NC, where they took turns supporting one another through Duke University’s school of nurse anesthesia.  During this time Duke’s biggest fan was born.  Kenneth’s hobbies included racing, collecting and cruising classic cars, and watching Duke basketball.  His greatest accomplishments were his gifted, good looking, and incredibly modest children (we love you Dad)!  Kenneth will be remembered for his loving spirit and great sense of humor by those who cherished him.

A celebration of his life will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 2728 Marks Creek Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.  Visitation with family following the service.
