Judith “Judy” Ann Yeargin Davenport, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. She was born September 26, 1945 in Wake County to Margaret Creech Yeargin and the late Samuel Leo Yeargin. Judy retired after 34 years of service as a Personnel Assistant for the NC Department of Corrections. She was a member of Green Pines Baptist Church for 35 years.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Green Pines Baptist Church, 1498 Hodge Rd, Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 pm, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the church. 

Surviving: husband, William “Bill” Ray Davenport; son, Chad Davenport (Karen) of GA; daughter, Ashley Leaver (Matt) of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren: Jackson Davenport, Joseph Davenport, Lydia Davenport, Abigail Leaver, Harley Leaver, James Davenport; mother, Margaret Creech Yeargin of Raleigh; sister, Bonnie Dean (Tony) of Sanford. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, 5510 Six Forks Rd #107, Raleigh, NC 27609.
