Jeffery Earl Butts

Jeffery Earl Butts, 52, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 after months of declining health. Jeff was born August 20, 1966 in Wake County to Gloria Jean Monroe Butts and the late Walter Earl Butts.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Calvary’s Cross Baptist Church, 1807  NC 98, Louisburg, NC 27549 with Pastor Martin Pinnell officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the church.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Cheryl Taylor Butts; mother, Gloria Jean Butts of Middlesex; sister, Ginger Matthews (Dale) of Middlesex; nephew, Brandon Matthews (Jessica); niece, Cynthia Hauer (Spencer); mother-in-law, Alma Grimsley of Wake Forest; father-in-law, Millard Taylor (Carolyn) of Raeford; brothers-in-law: Seth Taylor of Bunn and Julian Grimsley (Alison) of Oak Ridge; nephews: Austen Taylor, Blake Stoddard, Gavin Grimsley, Maxwell Grimsley, Owen Grimsley, Wyatt Grimsley; niece, MaKayla Stoddard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603 or NC Wildlife Foundation, 1701 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC 27699-1701.
