Jason Shawn Johnson

Jason Shawn Johnson, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 15, 2018. He was born March 13, 1978 in Wake County to Brenda McGee Johnson and the late Ronald Ernest Johnson. Jason attended East Wake High School and Johnston Community College before earning his Associate Degree in nursing at Wilson Community College. Jason was employed as a Registered Nurse with Renaissance Nursing Home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Prior to moving to Florida, Jason enjoyed summer trips to his Atlantic Beach home and the freedom he found in fishing and   riding horses with family and friends at his beloved Oakview Farm home in Zebulon.                                       

Funeral service 12:00 pm, Monday, December 3, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:45 at the funeral home.

A graveside service 2:00 pm at Fellowship Community Cemetery, at the intersection of Zack’s Mill Road and Old Fairground Road, Angier, NC 27501.

Jason is survived by his mother, Brenda M. Johnson Wester and step-dad, Hutson Wester of Henderson; brother, Scott Johnson and wife Sherry of Greenville; niece, Ava Scott Johnson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from both the McGee and Johnson families.

In addition to his father, Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilson and Lillie McGee and Brasbey and Callie Johnson.
