Hubert Aubrey Wooldridge

Hubert Aubrey Wooldridge, 82, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018. He was born September 30, 1935 in Amherst County, VA to the late James Edward Wooldridge and Etta Mattie Harris Wooldridge. For many years he was a service technician in the heating and air conditioning field. As long as his health permitted, he was a devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. 

Funeral service 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. Burial Raleigh Memorial Park.  

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Surviving: sons: Jimmy Wooldridge of Lynchburg, VA, Ray Wooldridge of Bakersfield, CA; step-sons: Michael Park of Raleigh, Melvin Park of Billerica, MA; daughter, Sharon W. Wingfield of Lynchburg, VA; step-daughters: Faye P. Cannady of Uganda, Africa, Laura Park- Leach of Charlotte; brother, Edward M. Wooldridge of Lynchburg, VA; sisters: Jean W. Seay and Shirley W. Tucker both of Lynchburg, VA; Jewell W. Moon of Waynesboro, VA; numerous grand and great-grandchildren.    

In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bea Wooldridge; brother, Thomas J. “Pete” Wooldridge. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3800 Hillcrest Drive, Raleigh, NC 27610.
