Geraldine "Jerry" Yvonne (Fuller) McKenney

July 27, 1950 ~ September 9, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Geraldine Yvonne Fuller McKenney, adored by all as Jerry, was born July 27, 1950 to the late Milton Ralph Fuller and Warmeta Thompson Fuller Ferguson, in Portsmouth Virginia and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina since the age of two months old. On September 9, 2017 she was granted her Heavenly Wings by God and is Dancing in Heaven.

She attended Mary E. Phillips, J.W. Ligon, King’s Business College and graduated from Wake Technical Community College.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated member at Malaby’s Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church for over 20 years and served on many boards. She was our Angel and our ROCK. She taught us to live life passionately, bravely, and courageously, just like she did. We will always cherish the life lessons that she taught us and will miss her deeply. She showed love to everyone she came in contact with. If you could not get anyone to help you, she was always there to your rescue. She left no stone unturned when it came to helping others and was always very giving of her time. She was also known for working at DMV for over 30 years, her elegant way of dressing, her beautiful church hats, her delicious banana pudding, and her doll collection.

She was a member of Ole School Raleigh Guys Motorcycle Club, Kabala Chapter #67, Eastern Stars Ruth Chapter, and she was Parliamentarian for Shotwell Club (ECA).

Surviving Jerry are her husband, Sam; children: Michelle Renee Sparks, June Sparks Morgan (Walter), Rodney Tyrone Kearney, Sam Baker (Joann), Darren Spivey (Aretha), Todd McKenney (Mechelle), Tony McKenney (Amanda); 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Josephine Hill, Clara Pulley and Razzie Kearney (William).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tony Curtis Kearney.

Dance In Heaven and spread your wings wide enough for us. For us you will always be.
