I just learned today of Emily's passing. She went to preschool at Cathy Lee CDC where I've worked all my life. She was always so loving and had the most beautiful brown eyes. She stood out from everyone else because of her kind heart, angelic face, and hair any adult would envy. I had not seen her since preschool until I saw her in Knightdale a few years ago. She was in high school, I assumed. She couldn't believe I'd remembered her from so long ago. I told her it was her eyes. I'm overwhelmed with sadness. I don't know what happened to her, only that the earth has lost a beautiful soul.

Emily was a part of my daughter, Melanie's friend group at Enloe. I always enjoyed her visits to our house. She was so kind, so funny, so "real". It has been a few years since I last saw her, but I still remember that contagious smile. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks for all who love her.
