Edna (Smith) Tingen

Edna Smith Crabtree Tingen, 87, went home to Jesus on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Edna was born September 25, 1930 in Wake County to the late Zeb and Callie Smith. She retired as a cost accountant with Harriet and Henderson Textile Mills.  

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.     

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.  

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Sunset Gardens, 3174 Hwy. 158 Business, Henderson, NC 27537. 

Surviving: daughters: Elaine Crabtree Hunt (Joseph, Jr.) of Knightdale and Janice Crabtree Cummings (Robert) of Papillion, NE; grandchildren: Jason Thomas Hunt (Angie), Alison Hunt Perry (Kevin), Laura Cummings Kauffman (Chris), Katie Cummings Fowler (Joel); and 7 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Edna was preceded in death by her husbands: Lenwood Crabtree and Irvin Tingen; brother, Zeb Smith Jr., and a sister, Dorothy Early.
