Edith (Gray) Edwards

Edith G. Edwards, 85, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born July 3, 1933 in Rockingham, NC to the late Edward Curtis White and Lila Katherine Sears White. Edith was a foundation for her husband during his 41 years of ministry. She was a beloved wife, mother and granny who will be dearly missed.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 4:00 pm, Monday, November 26, 2018 at Johnston Community Church, 450 Janie Road, Selma, NC 27576.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:45 pm at the church.

Graveside service 12:00 pm, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bishop H. B. Edwards; daughter, Wanda Jean Allen (Benjamin) of Willow Springs; son, Ronnie Eugene Edwards (Belinda) of Dunn; grandchildren: Melissa Vestal (David), Nicole Foster (Silas), Rickie Allen, Jr. (Fallon), Rebecca Poole (Davis), Brandon Edwards (Michelle), Ryan Edwards (Kristin); and 17 great-grandchildren.
