Dorothy “Dot” Mae Wall Jones, 91, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born June 6, 1926 in Coffee County, GA to the late Norman Wall and Ethel Shepard Wall. Dorothy worked 20 years at the May Mak Plant Farm. Dot was married to the late Willie Edgar Jones, Jr., who served 20 years in military, after retirement they came back to NC and made their home on 14 Turnipseed Rd. Willie preceded her in death on October 30, 2000. In 2004 Dot moved to Robinwood in Wendell. 

Funeral service 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. Burial, Clyde’s Chapel Church Cemetery, 16657 Buffalo Rd., Wendell, 27591.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2017 at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Linda and Jan Strickland, 8104 Old Nowell Rd., Wendell, 27591.

Surviving: daughter, Linda Jones Strickland (Jan) of Wendell; son, Johnny Lynn Jones of Wendell; grandchildren: Kimberly Jones, Terri Strickland, Kelly Crickmore, Shane Jones; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Lucille W. Johnson of AL.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Dot was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church Stained Glass Window Fund.
