Dorothy McNeill McCrimmon, 74, passed away August 6, 2017. Dorothy was born December 12, 1942 in Moore County to the late Lacy James McNeill and Elizabeth Rebecca McNeil McNeill. She retired with 36 years as Vice President of Finance at US Foods. She began her career in 1973 under PYA/Monarch Foods and retired in 2009. Dorothy graduated from Southern Pines High School and received a two year business degree from Hardbarger’s Business School.                       

Funeral service: 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Central Baptist Church Chapel, 11109 Poole Road, Wendell, NC 27591.

Graveside service: 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Johnson Grove Cemetery, 300 Johnson Grove Road, Vass, NC 28394. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Surviving: son, Scott McCrimmon (Joyce); daughter, Leslie Jo McCrimmon Simmons (Jerry Dean); grandchildren: Ashley Allen (Chris), Lindsey Jo Simmons, Gracen Elizabeth Simmons, Cooper Dean Simmons; great-grandchildren: Jacob Wayne Allen, Paisley Evonne Allen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter McCrimmon on July 21, 2017; brother, Lacy James McNeill, Jr.; and sister, Joan McNeill Chambers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church.
