Dennis Patrick Egan

Dennis Patrick Egan, 71, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019. He was born April 10, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Robert Patrick Egan and Muriel Huners Egan. Dennis honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star for Valor.                         

Funeral service 4:00 pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Egan; children: Terra-Lee Egan Randall (Gary) of Vermont, Colleen Egan Staples (Buck) of Sanford, Ryan Egan (Lauren) of Wendell; grandchildren: Caroline, Amanda, Beth-Ryan, Devan, Emilee, Grier, Teryn, Lucas; great-grandchildren: Colin, Leah, Mason, Gracie Mae, Joseph; six brothers and 3 sisters whom he dearly loved.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by sister, Barbara Ann Egan and nephew, Brendan Egan.
