David Richard Hamerka, 61, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017. He was born December 26, 1955 in Tuscaloosa, AL to the late Anthony Leo Hamerka and Mildred Virginia Ozier Hamerka.  

Funeral Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Rd, Raleigh, 27610.

Inurnment will take place following the mass at Montlawn Memorial Park, 3201 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, 27603.

The family will receive relatives and friends after the inurnment service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Surviving: his loving and devoted family, sisters: Marsha H. Johnson (Gene) of Wendell, Deborah H. Pergerson (Mark) of Garner; brother, Paul Anthony Hamerka (Laura) of Knightdale; nieces: Shannon Pergerson, Erin Lally (Patrick) and their son, William Lally, Megan Brannon (Dustin) and their son, Kaden Brannon, Paige Hamerka; nephew, Matthew Johnson and a host of special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to H.E.C. Handicapped Encounter in Christ, P.O Box 383, Cary, NC  27012.
