Daniel John Raybon, 43, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born August 13, 1974 in Wake County to Dennis Russell Raybon and Catherine Wilkinson Mitchell. He graduated from Athens Drive High School and worked with the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation.

A service to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held at 4:30 pm, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Cathy Mitchell and husband, Butch of Zebulon, father, Dennis Raybon of Pilot;  sister, Denise Raybon and husband, Jim Woolsey of Alexandria, VA; nephew, Ben Woolsey; paternal grandmother, Patricia Raybon of Pilot; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many good friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Raybon and maternal grandparents, Philip W. and Eloise Davis Wilkinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC.
