Charles Edward Stevens, Sr.

Charles Edward Stevens, Sr., 94, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born May 28, 1924 in Wake County to the late Guy Halifax Stevens, Sr. and Helen Moore Stevens.

Funeral service 12:30 pm, Monday, October 29, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5060 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends for the viewing prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the church.

Surviving: wife, Jerada Clara Lewis Stevens; son, Edward Stevens of Raleigh; daughters: Jerada Jones (Ross) of Raleigh, Robin Joyner (Thomas) of Raleigh; grandchildren: Joey Hamilton (Tish), Wendy Ward (Marty), Benjamin Jones; 7 great-grandchildren; several great -great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Davis of California.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by daughter, Sybil Fernicola and grandchild, Stacie Hamilton.
