Charles Howard Boyette, 85, passed away at his home Saturday, July 15, 2017. Charles was born in Johnston County to the late Cary Felton Boyette and Thelma Pittman Boyette. He honorably served his country in the US Army and retired with Greyhound Bus Lines as a driver. After his retirement he also retired as a driver with LabCorp.

Memorial service Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 4301 Louisburg Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. Inurnment will be held in the church columbarium with Military Honors.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 pm at the church.

Surviving: wife, Judy Brumley Boyette; daughters: Charla Boyette Hutchinson (Matthew) of Lexington, Terrie Welch Guins (Michael) of Raleigh; grandchildren: Phillip Guins (Cayla), Christopher Guins, Morgan Guins, Riley Hutchinson, Maddie Hutchinson; siblings: Lillie B. Hinnant, Leland Boyette (Elaine), Glenn Boyette (Joyce), Billy Boyette (Cheryl), Janet B. Lewis (Larry), Reuben Boyette (Ann), Connie Boyette (Sheila), Yvonne B. Lassiter (Al).

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by brothers: George, Donald and Thomas Boyette.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund or Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
