Obituary
Carolyn Tant Register, 86, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. She was born June 22, 1931 in Franklin County to the late Howard and Reca Massey Tant and graduated from Bunn High School in 1949. Carolyn worked as a receptionist with Gregory Poole Equipment Company for over 20 years. As long as her health permitted she was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, April 5, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.
She is survived by her daughters: Myra Davis (Alan) of Raleigh, Jan Wilder (Frank) of Zebulon, Joy Wright (Larry) of Zebulon, and Phyllis Shearin (Barry) of Denver, NC; brothers: William Earl Tant of Knightdale and Ronnie Tant of Bunn; sister, Dorothy Tant Bissette of Raleigh; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harper J. Register; sisters: Lounell, Frankie, and Phyllis; and brothers: Charles and Darnell Tant.
