Bradford Bert Strickland, Jr.

Bradford Bert Strickland, Jr., formerly of Wendell, passed away at his home in Adelaide, Australia on March 20, 2018, at the age of 64.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bradford Bert and Ethel Irene Hinnant Strickland of Wendell, and his sister Joy Cobb, also of Wendell. 

He is survived by his brothers: Craig Strickland (Catherine), and Randy Cobb, niece Jennifer Lane, nephews: Dean Scarboro (Pam), and Brent Cobb (Angie). 

Bert graduated from Vaiden Whitley High School in Wendell.  He later joined the United States Navy and developed an immediate love for the ocean. After leaving the Navy, Bert spent the remainder of his life in Adelaide, enjoying his sail boat and the ocean. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Central Baptist Church Cemetery, Wendell.
