Billy Daniel Carroll, 72, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017. He was born August 10, 1944 in Nash County to the late Reginald Worth Carroll and Virginia Daniel Carroll. He graduated in 1962 from Bailey High School. He served his country in the US Army as an MP. Billy received a 2 year degree from Hardbarger Business College. He was Parts Clerk Manager with Sir Walter Chevrolet and Hendricks Chevrolet, retiring in 2009 from Bobby Murray Chevrolet.

The family will have a gathering of remembrance from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Surviving: wife of 53 years, Barbara Davis Carroll; daughter, Beth Carroll and her husband, Joe Davis of Knightdale; brother, David Carroll and wife, Judy; sister-in-law, Melba Carroll; brother-in-law, Numa Finch; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by sisters: Frances Scott, Shelby Skinner, Barbara Finch, and Faye Vick; brothers: James Carroll and Bobby Carroll.
