Betty (Seibel) Scott

Betty Seibel Scott, 94, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018.  Betty was born September 1, 1924 in Norfolk, Virginia to Herman Seibel and Carrie Marie Kefauver Seibel.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Surviving: son, Elmer M. Scott Jr. (Betty) of Knightdale; grandchildren: Phillip Locklear (Erica), Travis Locklear, Ashley Locklear (Adam); great-grandchildren: Phillip Locklear, Mikey Locklear, Michael Locklear, Harley Locklear, Aiden Rozier; adopted daughter, Frances Deese (Pernell Deese, Jr.) of Knightdale; adopted grandsons, Jason and James Deese; adopted great-grandchildren: Cameron Elliott and Jayla Deese; sister, Margaret Sculus of MA; sister-in-law, Pat Seibel of Norfolk, VA; cousin, Linda Crawford and her family of Goldsboro; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Brenda Becerra of Wake Forest.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer M. Scott, Sr., and brothers, Robert William Seibel and Herman Seibel.
