Betty (Lockamy) Cozart

Betty Lockamy Cozart, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born January 17, 1934 in Wake County to the late Robert Cleveland Lockamy and Nula Holt Lockamy. Betty graduated from Knightdale High School in 1952. She worked as a Data Entry Clerk for the Flue Cured Tobacco Stabilization Corporation. As long as her health permitted, she was an active member in the Rolesville Eastern Star #286. Even though Betty will be buried on the Cozart plot at Bethany Baptist Church, she and her family were members at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home.

Surviving: husband of 66 years, Ernest Thomas “E.T.” Cozart, Jr.; sons: Michael “Mike” Thomas Cozart, of West Jefferson, Ernest Thomas “Tommy” Cozart, III (Vickie) of Wake Forest; daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Marie Cozart of Garner; sisters: Corinne L. St. Amant of Baton Rouge, LA.,  Patricia L. Glass of Arkansas; grandchildren: Michael Thomas Cozart, Jr., Jonathan Christopher Cozart, Heather Cozart Swales, Jennifer Leigh Cozart; 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St, Oxford, NC 27565.
