Obituary

Annie Pearl (Anne) O’Neal Woodard, 87, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 after a courageous battle with acute leukemia surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Annie Pearl was born in 1930 in Johnston County to the late Otho Noble O’Neal and Mable Adcock O’Neal. She graduated in 1948 from Corinth Holder High School and attended Hardbarger Business College. Annie Pearl worked as a Secretary with First Citizens Bank, Ford Motor Credit, Norfolk Southern, Southern and Seaboard RR, and retired from the NC Dept. of Labor. 

Funeral service 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 29, 2018, Longview Baptist Church, 2308 New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604.  Entombment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612.  

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 pm at the church.

Surviving: husband of 66 years, Herbert Oscar Woodard; son, William Lee “Billy” Woodard (Rita) of Greenville; daughter, Ginger Anne Woodard of Greenville, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Tip, Alfred, and Nelson O’Neal; sister, Margie O’Neal Carter.
