Anna Ruth Adams Ayscue, 73, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Anna was born in Kentucky on September 1, 1943 to the late Henry Lee Adams and Ruth C. Smiley Adams Ball. Anna graduated from high school and went on to receive a degree in nursing. As long as her health permitted, she was a faithful member of Knightdale Church of God.                          

A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545 with Pastor Chad Huffstetler officiating. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the funeral home.

 Surviving: husband, Lynward Joseph “Lyn” Ayscue; son, James Henry “Hank” Nalley (Brenda) of Raleigh; step-children: Stephanie Dawn Adamczyk (Stan) of Raleigh; Van Joseph Ayscue (Jill) of Raleigh; grandchildren: Jonathan Harris, Steven and Hunter Nalley; great-grandson, J.W. Harris; sister, Joan Ball and brother, Danny Ball both of Louisville, KY;

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Davis.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Anna Ayscue to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
