William Cornelius Barefoot

William Cornelius Barefoot, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born August 18, 1944, in Roanoke, VA to the late Felton B. Barefoot and Virgie Goodman Tart. William was a retired truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching Nascar, and trying his luck at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. 

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery, 908 S. McKay Avenue, Dunn, NC. 

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Clifton Barefoot; daughters: Angela Finn (Troy), Donna Perry (Shelton); grandchildren: Chris Finn, Elizabeth Williams, Samantha Perry; sister, Martha King. 

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Bundy.
