Rebecca Annis (Winstead) Perry

Rebecca Annis Winstead Perry, 77, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. She was born October 3, 1942 in Nash County to the late Henry Cecil Winstead and Rosa Lee Wilkins Winstead. She graduated 1960 in Rocky Mount and went on to Lenoir Community College where she received a cosmetology degree and retired from Roffler Hairstyling in 1990. As long as her health permitted she was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church in Zebulon. On June 5, 1967 she married Ollie Thomas Perry. Family was very important in her life. She had a very kind, caring and loving soul. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, shopping and planning for birthdays and holidays. God was very important in her life. She believed in Jesus Christ and shared the gospel with others. Rebecca will be greatly missed by her family, she meant the world to them. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday, September 21, 2020 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. Due to COVID restrictions, social distancing and face masks are required. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Heritage Baptist Church, 615 Mack Todd Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.         

Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Pineview Cemetery, 761 East Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801.

In addition to her husband, Ollie, she is survived by her daughter, Timi Karen Perry Jackson; granddaughters: Rebecca Skillman (Steven), Emily Jackson, Stephanie Sledge; great-grandchildren: Sara, Philip, Timothy, Leah, Caroline; brothers: Edward Winstead, James Wiggs; sisters: Carolyn Barnes, Ernestine Long, Faye Hinkleman. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Hope Skillman; sister, Shirley Amos; brother, Jerry Winstead; nephew, Cary Smith.
