Mary Jo (Flesher) Kirkland

Mary Jo Flesher Kirkland, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019. She was born March 30, 1942 in Barberton, Ohio to the late Raymond Ralph Flesher and Mary Poe Flesher. Mary Jo has been a cashier with Larry’s Supermarket in Raleigh for over 32 years.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, November 8, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mary Jo is survived by daughters: Nancy Massey and husband, Mitchell, Kathy Hersey and husband, Ken; grandchildren: Timothy Lee and wife, Chantal, Melissa Lee, Brandon Lee and wife, Jasmine, K.C. Hersey and wife, Zoe, Teddy Hersey; great-grandchildren: Mikayla Lee, Madelynn Lee, Adeline Lee, Bryce Boyd, Hayden Boyd; brother, Robert Flesher and wife, Mary Louise; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Bunell Kirkland; siblings: Dorothy, Jean, Ginny, Carrie, Bill and James.
