Joseph Stephen Murphy

Joseph “Joe” Stephen Murphy, 33, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 due to a tragic accident. Joseph was born June 25, 1986 in Pitt County to Eddie Murphy and Tammy Barbour. Joe was a hazard waste technician with Stericycle. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held 7:30 pm, Friday, January 17, 2020 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 6:00 to 7:30 at the funeral home. 

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his wife, Jillian S. Murphy; daughter, Ireland Denee Murphy; special aunt & uncle, Martha Underwood & Terry Edwards; cousin, Lauren Jackson; grandparents, Martha & Jerry Barbour; In-laws: Dave & Lauren Santschi; special friends: Matt & Jessica Lamb and their daughters; Jeff & Sarah Skinner; Curtis Graham; Team Raines Jiu-Jitsu; brothers: Bryant Murphy, Dan Murphy. 

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Go Fund Me Page, In Memory of Joe Murphy - Supporting Jillian.
