Hilda Ann (Liggins) Wright

Hilda Ann Liggins Wright, 73, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022. She was born January 6, 1949 in Wake County to the late Wilbur Liggins and Frances Tessinear Liggins. Hilda worked as a seamstress at Mortex in Wendell and retired with the Wake County Public School System. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 2437 Zebulon Road, Zebulon. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the funeral home. 

She is survived by sons: John Wright (Neika), Tim Wright (Stephanie); daughters: Tammy Amaon, Destiny Darnell (Brandon); brother, Randy Liggins (Dee); sisters: Donna Boykin, Brenda Wood (Graham), Linda Buckner (Gary); grandchildren: Hunter, Ashley, Allison, Dillon, Austin, Kaylee, Gracie, Easton; great-grandchildren: Sterling, Campbell, Jane, River and Jade. 

In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Tippett and life-long partner, Ray Williams.
