Geraldine (Wilson) Creech

Geraldine Wilson Creech, 82, went to be with the Lord on November 25th, 2020 in Raleigh at Rex Rehab and Convalescent Care Center after an extended illness. She was born August 21st, 1938 to Clarence P. and Inez Wilson in Middlesex.

Geraldine faithfully served the Lord from the age of 13 years old for 69 years. During her life she impacted everyone she met along the way with her love and faith in the Lord. Family was important to Geraldine and raising her children with her husband, spending time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren, gathering often for family dinners was her joy in life. She also loved to travel with her sister’s and niece to gospel singing conventions. The Crabb Family, especially Jason Crabb, was her favorite group she loved to hear sing. When holidays would come, she looked forward to celebrating with family by cooking, decorating, and doing all that she could for her family to enjoy being together. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Creech (Arnold), parents Clarence P. and Inez Wilson, two sisters Louise Strickland, Peggy Benson and one brother Glen Wilson.    

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Gwen (Joey) Pierce; sons Lawrence Creech, Jerry (Deborah) Creech; four grandchildren: Cindy Harrison, April Sutton, Waylon (Chrissy) Creech, Rebecca (Wesley) Browning; eight great grandchildren Andreal Harrison, Jayden Sutton, Allison Creech, Samson Creech, Shelby Creech, Nehemiah Browning, Jeremiah Browning, and Angel Browning; brothers Henry (Carol) Wilson, Dexter Wilson; sisters Janet (Nick) Creech, Joanne (Garland) Price, Lynn Averette; special niece Angel (Tommy) Perry, special nephew Dennis (Victoria) Benson; along with other nieces and nephews; special cousins Donnie (Shirley) Price; and many other friends and family.

The family extends a special thank you to the administration and staff of Rex Rehab and Convalescent Care Center for the love, care and compassion during her illness.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the Murray Family Farm Cemetery #2, 9764 Hwy. 97 East, Middlesex, NC 27557.
