Leigh (Smith) Honeycutt

Leigh Smith Honeycutt, age 67, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. She was born June 16, 1956 in Wake County to the late George Dale Smith and Betsy Anne Nipper Smith. Leigh served her country in the National Guard and earned a BS degree from Atlantic Christian College and an AS degree from Montreat Anderson Community College. She worked as a lab tech in the Municipal Water & Waste Water Department for both the City of Raleigh and the Town of Clayton.

The family will have a brief visitation prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am followed by a celebration of life at 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Graveside will be private.

She is survived by her sister, Adriane Smith Brackett and brother, George Dale Smith, Jr. In addition to her parents, Leigh was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Honeycutt in 1993.
