There is not enough paper to capture the legacy of “The Colonel”

Loyalty

Duty

Respect

Selfless Service

Honor

Integrity

Personal Courage

These are the Army values. Anyone who knew Aubrey knows that he lived every aspect of his life by this code! He set a high standard for his family and anyone who worked for him. His humility and genuine love and concern for people made you desire the same standards. His military career, position at Capitol Broadcasting Company, as well as his personal life were signed with excellence. Aubrey poured himself into everything he did! He fiercely loved his children and Stacy. He was a true patriot, a man of God, devoted father. But above all else, his love for Stacy was beyond measure. As many of you know, if Aubrey knew you (he never met a stranger), you earned a nickname. Stacy is his “LOML” – Love of My Life.

Aubrey died at home peacefully in his sleep. He gave it all – “Living the Dream”

Aubrey is survived by his wife of 36 years, Stacy Allen Wood; his sons: Aubrey L. Wood IV “Beau” (Jess), Brodie A. Wood (Lia), and Aren C. Wood; his daughters: Anna Wood and Galina Wood; his 2 granddaughters: Alexis and Riley; mother, Mary H. Watts; brother, John Wood; sister, Dawn Wood; Aubrey and Stacy have countless people from around the world they call FAMILY. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Lewis Wood, Jr.
