Willie Ray Holden, 54, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at his home. He was born May 22, 1963 in Wake County to Dorothy Tharrington and the late Rufus Wade Holden, Sr. He retired as a heavy equipment operator and Goodmark Foods.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at his home at a later date.

Surviving: wife, Deborah Ann Squires Holden; children: Christopher Shane Holden, Rachel Ann Holden (Brandon Gaskins); mother, Dorothy Tharrington of Cary; brothers: Jamie Holden of Wilson, Jerry Holden (Lindy) of Zebulon, Frankie Tant of Winston Salem; sisters: Kathy Tant of Henderson, Thursa Lopez of Centerville, Mamie Ennis of Apex; special and dear aunt, Vannie Holden Bunn of Raleigh; uncle, Russell Holden (Jane) of Raleigh; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or to your local hospice.
