William Walter McCrimmon, 81, passed away, Friday, July 21, 2017.  Walter was born in Moore County on November 17, 1935 to the late William Walter McCrimmon and Mary Ann Wood McCrimmon. He had over 35 years with Clancy & Theys Construction Company. Walter was an avid golfer.

Graveside service, 3:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Johnson Grove Cemetery, 300 Johnson Grove Rd., Vass, NC 28394.      

The family will receive relatives and friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, July 24, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545.

Surviving: Wife, Dorothy McNeill McCrimmon; Son, Scott McCrimmon (Joyce) of Clayton; Daughter, Leslie Jo McCrimmon Simmons (Jerry Dean); Grandchildren, Chip Gibson, Jr, Kimberly Thomas, Ashley Allen, Lindsey Jo Simmons, Gracen Elizabeth Simmons, and Cooper Dean Simmons; 8 Great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn McCrimmon Gibson and a sister, Duncan Cornelia McCrimmon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church.
