William Elmer Dorman

William Elmer Dorman, 86, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Wellington Nursing Center in Knightdale after many months of declining health. As long as his health permitted, he was a carpenter with Luther Faison Construction.

Graveside service 2:00 pm, Monday, February 19, 2018, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 West Gannon Ave., Zebulon, NC 27597.

Surviving: wife of 65 years, Marthie Underhill Dorman; daughters, Katherine Scott, Florence Corbett, both of Wendell; sons, Ray Elmer Dorman of Wendell, William Robert Dorman of Spring Hope, Richard Lee Dorman of Elm City, John Raymond Dorman of Clayton, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Parker of Spring Lake.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Ronald Linwood, George Rodney, and Billy Ray Dorman, grandson, Kendall Blake Anderson, and 6 brothers.
