Vincent Robert Liguori, 87, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. He was born on December 15, 1928 in Kings County, NY to the late Joseph Liguori and Lillian Cerullo Liguori. After graduating from college, he served his country in the Army. Vinny was a research scientist and also retired as a College Professor/Biologist at the City University of New York. In 1995 he left Oakdale, NY to move to Knightdale, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife Nora B. Liguori on May 12, 2001.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 11:00 am at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 2817 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610. Burial Raleigh Memorial Park.

Surviving: wife, Nelsy Maria Cordero Liguori; sons, Joseph A. Liguori (Amanda) Litchfield ME, Robert F. Liguori (Kathy) Knightdale NC; daughters, Donna S. Hasslinger (Karl) Alexandria VA, Lisa Noto (Anthony) Knightdale NC, Judith Kuehhas (Timothy) SC; and 18 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence, and Paul Liguori of NY; sisters, Helen Foster Campbell, CA, Rita Noto Brooklyn NY.

Prayer Service with a Rosary, Friday, August 19, 2016, 6:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the service until 8:00 pm. 

In addition his parents and first wife, Vincent was preceded in death by his brothers: Genaro, Joseph and Teddy Liguori.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in his memory.
