Shirley Grace Winstead Amos

Shirley Grace Winstead Amos, 69, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 after many months of declining health. Shirley was born in Nash County on August 30, 1948 to the late Henry Cecil Winstead and Rosa Lee Wilkins Winstead. She graduated from Sanderson High School and went to work in the Operations Center of First Union Bank.                                       

Funeral service:  2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 with Pastor Tim Rabon officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45 a pm at the funeral home.

Surviving: husband, William Edward “Bill” Amos, Jr.; son, William Michael Amos of Raleigh; daughter: Kristen Marie Kuzemchak and her husband John Ross Kuzemchak of Wake Forest; grandchildren: Peyton Grace Kuzemchak and Parker Marie Kuzemchak; brothers: Edward Winstead of Rocky Mount and James Wiggs of Jacksonville, FL; sisters: Annis W. Perry of Rolesville, Carolyn W. Barnes of Denver, NC, Tina W. Long of Raleigh and Faye W. Hinkleman of Raleigh.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Winstead.
