Sharon Shreve Hite, 63, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018. She was born October 20, 1954 in Ashland, Alabama to Janell Stewart Shreve and the late Reverend Thomas Frederick Shreve. Sharon graduated from Clemson University with a BS degree in Microbiology and Chemistry. Sharon served her country in the military and worked with the federal government in the NIEHS department as an IT Manager. 

The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. 

According to Sharon’s wishes, her body was donated to Duke University Medical Center for medical research.  

Surviving: husband, Wilmer Michael “Mike” Hite; son, Thomas Hite of Mebane; mother, Janell Stewart Shreve of Aiken, SC; sister, Kathy S. Wood of Richland, Washington State. 

In addition to her father, the Reverend Thomas F. Shreve, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother Rick Shreve.
