Sandra Ellington Bridgers, 60, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her home. She was born February 20, 1957 in Wake County to Buxton “Buck” Gray Ellington and the late Anne Neal Ellington. Sandy retired from Wake Med as an Administrative Assistant after 30 years of service.                                                                            

Memorial service 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Surviving: husband, Richard Bridgers; son, Matthew Justin Bridgers; daughter, Jennifer Lauren Bridgers; step-son, Shane Bridgers; father, Buck Ellington; sisters: Cheryl Ellington Kelley (Don), Karen Ellington (Warren), Beverly Ellington Townsend (Mike); granddaughter, Neveah Bridgers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dan and Kelly Hales for the love and support they gave to Sandy during this time.
