Samuel Keith Gower, 68, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Samuel was born April 25, 1948 in Wake County to the late Horace Melvin Gower and Magdalene Collins Gower. Sammy was a retired self-employed carpenter.  

A memorial service will be held 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Joe & Carolyn Gower, 4912 Old Faison Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

Surviving: brothers: Richard Gower (Sandra) and Joe Gower (Carolyn) and Earl Yates (Anne) all of Knightdale, William Gower (Peggy) of Clayton, Anthony Gower of Zebulon, Randy Gower (Linda) of Garner; sister, Sheila Gower McHorney (Wayne) of Raleigh; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends including Paul and Betty Poole.
