Richard Eldon Anderson, 59, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home. He was born October 1, 1957 in Stanley, ND to the late Leonard Alexander Anderson and Margaret Alice Caldwell Fawkes. Richard was a self-employed Fiber Optics Contractor. Richard loved flying and was working toward getting his pilot’s license.   

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, February 17, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Surviving: wife, Deborah Seitz Anderson; children: Cyrena Fawn Anderson of Minneapolis, MN,   Crystal Ann Rodriguez of Zebulon; Nerisa Laree Stancil (Chris) of Clayton; Joshua James Barth of Zebulon; grandchildren: Abby, Aaron, Christian, Ricky, Brantly, Zachary, Ellary; sisters: Judith Greene, Cheryl Anderson, LaVonne Anderson, Sharon Snyder, Miriam Rogers, Marlys Hisaw; brothers: Lawrence, Robert, Ronald and Shannon Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by brothers: Leonard Anderson, William  Anderson and Allen Anderson.
