Rex Andrew Perkinson, 63, passed away, Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Rex was born February 9, 1953 in Vance County to the late Charlie Luther Perkinson and Eunice Grissom Perkinson. He graduated in 1973 from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School. Rex was a self-employed truck driver. Rex was a devoted son, husband, father, brother and a friend to many. His friends and family will miss him greatly. 

A service to celebrate his life will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:45 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of Brad and Misty Perkinson, 3900 Lillie-Liles Road, Wake Forest, 27587.

 Surviving: wife of 39 years, June Perry Perkinson; son, Brad Andrew Perkinson (Misty) of Wake Forest; daughter, Amanda June Perkinson of Clarksville, VA; sister, Evelyn P. Pulley (Barry) of Raleigh; grandchildren: Tyler Andrew Perkinson and Eleanor Jade Perkinson.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Edgar Perkinson.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3328 Forestville Road, Raleigh, NC 27616.
