Phyllis A. Crockrell Betters, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Transitions LifeCare. She was born June 23, 1945 in Hayti, Missouri to the late James William Crockrell and Martha Ellen Baynes Crockrell. She retired from Glaxo after 24 years of service where she worked as a packaging operator.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8400 Poole Rd., Knightdale, 27545 with Pastor George Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

Surviving: sons, Robert Betters (Madeleine) of Frederick, MD, Mark Betters (Delia) of Severna Park, MD; daughter, Deena Betters Hudson (Paul) of Knightdale; grandchildren: Tatiana Betters, Nicholas Betters, Jacqueline Betters, Benjamin Betters, Katelyn Hudson, Kendall Hudson, Charles Betters; great-grandchild, Juliet Betters; sister, Peggy Buckley (David) of Pascagoula, MS; brother, James Crockrell of Laurel, MS; brother-in-law, Jimmy Stockman; sister-in-law, Brenda Crockrell; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; friends: Judy Hudson, Anita Fox, Willa Frazier and Wanda Nutter and Bobbie Stanley.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by sisters: Linda Jean Crockrell, Barbara Stockman.
