Nancy Upton Hand died December 8, 2016 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born May 12, 1958 in Elizabeth City to the late Fred Upton and Evelyn White Upton, Nancy loved growing up in Camden. A graduate of East Carolina University, she was working as a Senior Post Closer at RBC bank where she made many beloved friends.

 Nancy is survived by her mother, Evelyn Upton of Raleigh; her son Ted “T. J.” Hand of Raleigh; her daughter, Molly Hand and her fiancé, Justin Gore of Virginia Beach; her brother, Fred Upton and wife Carolyn of The Villages, Florida; her sister, Sue Upton Myers and husband Ken of Zebulon and her nieces and nephews: Meredith, Amber and Trent.

 A service in celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, December 12 at Knightdale United Methodist Church in Knightdale, NC. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you contribute to the education of Milo Hand and Darby Gore, her precious grandchildren.
