Mildred Davis Hester Boyette, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Egbert and Naomi Davis of the Moss Hill community of Lenoir County where she graduated from Moss Hill High School.  After that she went to work in Kinston.  Later she married Lattie Floyd Hester and moved to Raleigh.  They bought a home and raised their children until his death.  She later went to work at ITT where she worked for 27 years until she retired. Mildred married A. B. Boyette and together they built a home in Starmount and lived there until his death.  After her retirement she worked for May Mak Plant Farm for 8 years.  Mildred then moved to Angier where she would be near her children.  She had a great love of flowers.

The Boyette family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 16, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm, Monday, October 17, 2016 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 4488 US-70, Kinston, NC 28504.

Surviving: daughters, Wanda Hester Coburn (Charles “Coach”) of La Grange, Ann Earp Foster (David) of Fuquay-Varina, Darlene Hester Holt (Sherman) of Wendell, Arlene Hester Kennedy of New Hampshire; son, Tim Hester (Betty) of Willow Springs; 10 blood Grandchildren; 13 blood Great-Grandchildren; 4 blood Great-Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nell Davis of Swansboro.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Lattie Floyd Hester (1958) and A. B. Boyette (1996); son: Lattie Floyd “L.F.” Hester, Jr.; grandchildren: Ronnie Sutton, Christopher Kennedy and Matthew Earp; brothers, Edward Earl Davis, Vernon Leroy Davis, William Davis.
