Mary Jo Douglass Mogensen, 82, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home. Mary Jo was born September 10, 1935 in Wake County to the late Clyde A. Douglass and Mary Ruth Armstrong Douglass. She was married to the late Paul Christian Mogensen, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2001.

A gathering of remembrance for Mary Jo will be held Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545.

Surviving: daughter, Karen F. Mogensen Gray (Ralph); sons: Christian D. Mogensen (Esther), Erik A. Mogensen; grandchildren: Jeffrey Poole, David Poole, Amanda M. Andersen (Matt), Jessica Mogensen, Christian Mogensen II (Dale), Hunter Mogensen; great-grandchildren: Aiden Poole, Corbin Poole, Caiden Mogensen, Mallory Mogensen, Sophia Fye, Flora Fye; brother, Clyde Douglass, Jr. (Deborah).

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary Jo was preceded in death by sister, Frances Douglass.
