Mary Lou (Mary, Granny Frazier) Ellington Frazier, 75, died January 15, 2018 with her family by her side in Jacksonville, Florida.  She was born June 12, 1942, in Zebulon North Carolina to Ben and Mary Ellen Ellington.  Mary Lou could accomplish anything she set her mind to.  She worked a tobacco farm, served her country, worked 32 years in civil service, traveled the world and raised a family.

Her life joy came from raising her beautiful children, doing the little things that made a big difference in someone’s day, spoiling her puppy Scooter, and hunting for the bargains!  Everything Mary Lou did, she did with grace, joy and a touch of Ellington stubbornness. 

Mary Lou is survived by family --- husband William “Butch” Frazier, daughter Deborah Cox (Bob spouse), son Keith Miller (Tammy spouse), step-daughter Jennifer Frazier, brother Steve Ellington (Jan spouse), niece Dallas, nephews Jason and Clint, grandchildren Meghan Powell, Tyler Miller, Terra Haney, Kaysie Cox, Kyle Miller, Taylor Herbert and Robert Cox Jr., great grandchildren Finn Frazier-Guede, Braelynn Miller, Kamari Rowell, Brantley Miller, and Noa Haney. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Ellington. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.  Visiting hours are prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Avenue, Zebulon, NC 27597.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary Lou’s memory to your local hospice or animal shelter.
