Lucy Ellen Lewis

Lucy Ellen Lewis, 101, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born December 17, 1916 in Wake County to the late Charlie William Lewis and Ophelia Wilder Lewis. She worked for over 40 years in the Estates and Records Division with the Wake County Clerk of Superior Court. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545. 

Graveside service 2:00 pm, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, 8400 Poole Road, Knightdale, 27545. 

Surviving: brother, Wayne Russell Lewis of Raleigh, a host of special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by brother, Charles Thurman Lewis; sisters: Mary L. Woodard and Mabel L. Hardee. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund.
